Those users are crazy
Well, to be quite honest I am now officially overwhelmed. The Entrecard community, the sheer volume of stuff going on, is beyond my ability to keep up. I'm still trying, for what it's worth, but there's just so much to do!
We have 4,700+ live widgets at this point and it's climbing fast, and the feature ideas list is getting longer faster than I can implement them, even for the "holy crap that's a great idea" mini-list.
Anyway, enough of my complaining, I guess it's a vastly better set of worries than sitting in the middle of a big empty site going "meep?".
One of the consequences of having so much to do is that I don't have quite as good a touch for what everyone is doing anymore. I used to have a good idea about the kind of advertising levels people were generally running. I implemented a new type of calendar display for the ad system today, then went to check a few dashboards to make sure it came out ok, and ran into this:

That's just crazy, but after doing a check around, that kind of volume of ads doesn't seem that uncommon. I may have to rethink the displays for high-level advertisers like that.
We've got some fun stuff coming up soon, I'm really looking forward to the coding day, it'll be cool to chat with people and deliver stuff "live".
Time to go to bed, 2am is too late for me these days. zzz.

I for one really appreciate all your hard work you put into Entrecard, I love this site!
None of the other sites to help you gain traffic even come close to yours, and even beyond the traffic gained to our sites we are able to so easily find so many fantastic blogs to read!
Kudos to you!
Hmm, any chance you are going to make an API for developers to use Entrecard information? ;) (E.g. of use: approving ads via admin panel in the user's blog; may decrease load on Entrecard.com server at the same time keep users).
You are doing an awesome job! Don't wear yourself out too quickly though... looks like you are absolutely necessary to entrecard. :) No meeping there, that's for sure.
I agree with jolene... entrecard is terrific.
"coding day" ? Does it mean you guys have a day dedicated to code for Entrecard's changes/bug fixes? I thought you guys work everyday :D
You're doing great!!!
On your screenshot: What? not an ad on mine?????
Love your work, PhiRate- You;'ve put together a great product, and the support uyou guys supply is fantastic- it is the first blog community I've been a part of that makes me feel like it is a community. Keep it up, love your workk, and the humanity y'all bring to the system = )
Well, I've seen a lot of the same advertisements on a lot of blogs. Refused to approve that advert.
Compared to the blog you showed, I'm a serious slacker, LOL.
Came to send happy birthday wishes. Can't call you over the hill cause that would make me farther over the hill. Being 30-something was nice. 40-something is even better but you won't believe me until you get here. Make sure you do. :)
We are crazy, aren't we? :)
You've done a great job with EntreCard. I haven't felt so part of an online community since my days on CompuServe. Keep up the great work!
This Entrecard is a great idea! Keep up the great work and get some sleep..somewhere in between!
2am is not late for me, its normal. Lately I'm up at night as opposed to the daytime. This does make it hard to get some things done, like calling to pay a bill, therefore having to put up up a dead phone, not like I really give a heck about that. Keep up the good work!
